Privacy notice
Updated 25 October 2026. This notice describes Jobvello as it currently operates. The website operator acts as controller for contact messages and site administration. Contact the operator through the Contact page for privacy questions or requests. Jobvello is the service name, not a claim that a company with that name is registered.
Contact messages: we collect the message and subject you send, and an optional name and reply email. We use these to handle enquiries, listing reports and data rights requests. Our basis is legitimate interests in responding to people who contact us and operating a safe directory; handling statutory rights requests may also be necessary to meet legal obligations. Do not send sensitive data, identification documents, bank details or CVs. We do not use messages for marketing or publish them.
Messages are stored in the administrator’s private inbox and automatically removed from the application database after 90 days. Copies in infrastructure backups may remain until the provider’s backup lifecycle ends. If a legal obligation or dispute requires longer retention, we will explain any applicable exception. No automatic email delivery service is currently connected.
Security: we use a daily, keyed hash of the connection IP to limit contact submissions. The raw IP is not stored in the contact database. These counters are removed after two days. Cloudflare processes connection information such as IP address, request details and security signals as part of hosting and network protection. The basis is legitimate interests in keeping the service available and preventing abuse. Provider-managed operational logs and their retention are subject to the account configuration and provider terms.
Providers and transfers: the site and database use Cloudflare. Its network and subprocessors may process information outside the UK. Refer to Cloudflare’s privacy policy and Data Processing Addendum for its processing and transfer safeguards: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/ and https://www.cloudflare.com/cloudflare-customer-dpa/ . We do not sell contact information. Access is restricted to the administrator and service providers needed to operate the site.
Saved jobs are stored in your current browser tab’s session storage when you use the Save function. Closing the tab clears that session storage. CV text stays in the page’s memory until you download it or close the page. CV contents are not sent to our server or an AI service. Downloaded files are under your control. Earlier browser-local drafts from the previous version are not automatically uploaded.
External vacancies: we store limited public job information under the source licence. We do not collect applicant accounts, applications or recruiter contact information from the source. Following a link takes you to an independent site with its own privacy rules. Jobvello does not receive your application.
Your rights: depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Use the contact form and choose Privacy or data request. We normally respond within one month, subject to lawful extensions and proportionate identity checks. There is no automated hiring decision or profiling on Jobvello. You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/ .
No advertising analytics, marketing cookies, payment processing or email newsletter is installed by Jobvello. If that changes, we will update this notice and obtain consent where required.
